Fall In Texas

By on November 2, 2016

This time of year is supposed to be cold enough for me to wear a light sweater outside. Instead I find myself still wearing my pink tank top and jean shorts. I’m kidding, I only own one pair of jean shorts that I almost never wear. But in place of those shorts I wear my running shorts. STILL it is too hot to be Fall outside! I’ve lived in Texas my whole life so I should be used to the autumn season being warm almost all the way through. It just seems that this year happens to be a lot warmer than usual. I’m just sitting here waiting for the cold breeze to brush up against me when in reality I am standing outside in 92 degree weather with a hot coffee in my hand…sweating. My fault. I should know better. The thing is I will be complaining for summertime to come back because the wood floors in our new house betrayed me and I froze all winter. Mainly I’m just irritated with the massive amount of mosquitoes in our backyard. Move along already! I need to enjoy my backyard without you trying to fly up my nose. And since you can’t see them from far away I look like a crazy woman spitting out curses to thin air. Where are you cold weather? Have you abandoned me this year? I even bought new clothes for this! Ugh. Lame.
