Hello Spring and Good-bye Weeds
Our seeds sprouted on the Spring Equinox and the established plants are producing fruit! Happy Spring to everyone! Last weekend we cleaned up the front yard and our brand new leaf blower broke, so that needs to be returned this Saturday. There is now more room for the citronella plants I’ve been collecting and I’m almost 100% sure I have an avocado tree growing in my front yard. The most exciting part of the whole process is that we are now scheduled to work on the kitchen, finally. The kitchen really should have been the first room we worked on but the project kept getting pushed back because of money or other house priorities. We would go over plans of what we wanted the kitchen to look like and to be honest, the end result is a lot simpler and a whole lot cheaper. The first idea was to have this beautiful bright kitchen which would have cost us a fortune and we turned that around to something more our style and in keeping with our minimalist theme. I am so excited to finally get working appliances! It has been so long since I have had a dishwasher that works and a refrigerator that doesn’t topple forward if you pull the handle too hard.
These last weeks have been amazing and I’m so glad that A and I get to spend time running around in the backyard now. There have been more bees lately and luckily they are keeping to themselves for now. Poor things are just trying their hardest to find flowers and the best they can find are the little yellow weed flowers sprinkled throughout the yard. Once the butterfly garden starts to flower we will see more bees buzzing about and pollinating while sticking to their designated areas. Bring back the bees!!!
